Despite an expected drop in traffic on provincial highways due to public health restrictions, the RCMP will be patrolling and removing impaired drivers from the roads in participation of National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day on Saturday, May 22.

RCMP is asking Manitoba drivers to focus on basic safe driving behaviours as National Road Safety Week kicked off on Tuesday.
“We continue to patrol and conduct traffic enforcement,” said Sgt. Mark Hume, Acting Enforcement Commander with Manitoba RCMP Traffic Services, in a press release. “What we are seeing is really concerning. People have forgotten the basics of safe driving – drive sober, slow down, be alert, and buckle up.” ....
