Kaspersky CEO Eugene Kaspersky has suggested that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic will bring a slowdown in cyber-crime.
Speaking yesterday at the Kaspersky-sponsored Asia Pacific Online Policy Forum, the CEO said: If the pandemic goes away, criminals will go away and on vacation.” He added that one reason for the slowdown would be taking time to spend all the money they stole during the pandemic, and that a return to robbery-as-usual can be expected a few months later. ....

IT Ministry Issues Draft of National Cyber Security Policy 2021
The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has drafted National Cyber Security Policy 2021, envisaging developing secure and resilient cyber systems and networks for national cybersecurity and response.
The policy framework is envisaged to secure the entire cyberspace of Pakistan including all information and communication systems used in both public and private sectors.
The objective of the policy is
To establish governance and institutional framework for the secure cyber ecosystem,
Create protection and information sharing mechanism (CERTs/SOCs) at all tiers capable to monitor, detect, protect and respond against threats to national ICT/CII infrastructures, ....
