Number of dissolved companies decreases 25.52% in 2020

The number of dissolved companies decreased by 25.52% in 2020, compared to the previous year, to 25,384, versus 34,080 companies in 2019, according to data centralized by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC), as reported by AGERPRES.
The most dissolutions were registered in Bucharest, respectively 4,914 companies (decreasing by 16.78% compared to 2019) and in the counties of Timis (1,295, minus 24.58%), Cluj (1,251, minus 23.72%) and Constanta (1,233, minus 28.19%).
In no county was there an increase in the number of companies dissolved in 2020.
The smallest decreases were registered in the counties of Vrancea (minus 2.90%), Harghita (minus 6.85%) and Neamt (minus 7.64%), while the most significant decreases were reported in Caras- Severin (minus 53.75%), Vaslui (minus 46.15%) and Teleorman (minus 44.77%). ....

Senatorul USR PLUS Simona Spătaru a declarat, luni, că plenul Senatului a adoptat un proiect de lege prin care a fost abrogată pensionarea anticipată a magistraţilor, precizând că sistemul de justiţie “are nevoie de a nu fi presat”, informează Agerpres.
“Am avut (pe ordinea de zi a plenului – n.r.) două proiecte importante din programul nostru de guvernare pe justiţie, respectiv, am avut o lege prin care am abrogat acea pensionare anticipată, pe care în 2018 a introdus-o PSD prin mâna lui Iordache, Dragnea, Nicolicea, Şerban Nicolae. Au vrut, după cum bine ştim, să-şi apere spatele pentru dosarele penale pe care le aveau. Astăzi am abrogat acea prevedere pentru că, în primul şi în primul rând, sistemul de justiţie are nevoie de a nu fi presat”, a afirmat Spătaru. ....

Over 9,850 companies suspend operations January through November 2020

The number of firms that suspended their activity decreased by more than 23.29 pct between January and November 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, reaching 9,851, according to data published by the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC).
By industry, the largest number of suspensions was registered in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, respectively 2,731 (-30.93 pct), in other service activities - 1,043 suspensions (-12.72 pct) and in professional, scientific and technical activities - 793 suspensions (-22.25 pct).
In November there were 873 business suspensions, most in Bucharest - 92 and in the counties of Bihor - 49, Prahova - 47, Cluj - 33, Iasi, Timis and Arad, 32 companies each. ....

5,144 companies, authorised individuals go into insolvency January through November 2020

The number of companies and authorised individuals entered into insolvency decreased by 11.77 pct in the first 11 months of 2020, compared to the same period last year, with 5,144 insolvencies recorded, according to data published on the website of the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC).
By activity fields, January through November the highest number of insolvencies was recorded in wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles respectively 1,526 (minus 15.22 pct), in construction - 816 (minus -6.96 pct) and manufacturing - 604 (minus 14.45 pct).
In November 2020, 538 insolvencies were registered, most in Bucharest - 123, and in the counties of Cluj - 48 and Constanta - 30. ....
