MARQUETTE For those looking to enjoy a skiing or snowshoeing excursion this month, the 32nd annual Honey Bear Classic will take place at the Big Bay Pathway from Friday through Feb. 21 with adaptations for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Several safety features such as eliminating the single-day gathering, spreading the event out over 10 days and allowing participants to register online are in place due to the pandemic, according to organizers. ....

32nd Honey Bear Classic starts February 12th

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WBUP) – Celebrate the unique beauty of the Big Bay Pathway.
The Honey Bear Classic is a 10–day fundraising event for all ages. The 32nd annual event is coming up February 12th and carving along until the 21st. You can enjoy the Funski, an eight kilometer, 16 kilometer, or snowshoe trek with friends or family while supporting the grooming efforts on the pathway.
This year for the safety of all participants, registration has been moved online and the event has been spread over multiple days to avoid a one day outdoor gathering. Participants can ski for fun, upload their times, or snowshoe for a chance to win prizes. ....
