One of Warrington s most historic town centre buildings needs roof repairs
AN historic building at Warrington Town Hall is in urgent need of repair.
The Drill Hall building, to the east of the main Town Hall building, needs repairs to its roof according to planning documents.
It is currently used as council offices but had been earmarked as the home for a new theatre before rising costs killed off the bid in 2019.
The grade I listed building was designed as the headquarters of the 1st Volunteer Battalion, The South Lancashire Regiment in the
late 19th century.
This unit evolved to become the 4th Battalion, The South Lancashire Regiment in 1908. ....
