Implementation of NRLM interventions discussed at Ramban

Speaking on the occasion, the District Nodal Officer (DNO) NRLM Ramban, Block Programme Manager, Manzoor Ahmed Rather gave a brief account of JKNRLM and its procedure to work in collaboration with different departments.
The DNO informed that JKNRLM is working to enhance the living standard of poor and weaker sections of the society. In this regard JKNRLM has a target of nearly Rs 3 crore for financial year 2021-22.
During the meeting, various issues were discussed in detail like timely disbursement of loan cases, bulk enrollment under social security schemes, timely repayment of SHG loans and various other issues faced by JKNRLM with Lead Bank Manager, Heads of J&K Bank Ukhral, Khari, Ramsoo and other concerned. ....

Aim to offer gender based enterprises to women SHGs: Dr Sehrish

SRINAGAR, June 9: Mission Director Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today emphasised on the field workers of the Mission to focus more on developing gender based enterprises like setting up of low cost Sanitary Napkin units, which will not only improve the menstrual health of rural women folk but is also affordable to them.
These remarks were made by her while chairing a review meeting of the Mission for district Jammu. The meeting was attended by District Programme Manager, Block Programme Manager and MIS Assistants of blocks Akhnoor, Bhalwal, Bishnah, Dansal, Khour, Marh and other officials from the MD office. ....

DDC Shopian Chairs PM FME meeting

The DDC directed the concerned officers to coordinate with District Lead Bank Manager, Shopian and resolve bottlenecks relating to financial implications. He said that the objective of the scheme is to double the farmer’s income by enhancing the value of the products. This can be done by increasing production on one side and diversifying the demand for additional produce by value addition and processing on other hand, he added.
The DDC said that the FME scheme will provide a framework for value chain development and alignment of support infrastructure by identifying a unique food product with a special focus on perishable items in Agriculture produce and a food product widely produced in a district. He advised for general awareness among the people in this regard and also directed for diversification of sale points of apple across the district besides full integration of apple processing with one district one product (ODOP) programme. ....

International Womens Day-2021 celebrated across Kashmir

Srinagar: In connection with International Womens Day, celebrated on 8th of March every year, a number of functions to commemorate this day were today held across all the districts of Kashmir division.
On the occasion, seminars, debates and other related programmes were organized besides women achievers were also felicitated by the respective district administrations.
