On Thursday morning the Rothschild Police Department will announce itâs new program, âK-9âs for the Communityâ sponsored by Forrest Goetsch Charities Inc. and K-tech Charities Inc. The program allows the police department to purchase two K-9âs for the department. Rothschild Police Chief Jeremy Hunt says the two German Short Haired Pointers will have a variety of duties out in the community. âThe dogs will be used for tracking of individuals, drug detection. And we also have a DARE program with a school liaison officer. ....

Jammin for Jaclyn Benefit Concert features eight acts performing virtually in honor of area man battling cancer SAYREVILLE – An annual benefit concert for people fighting cancer will hold its eighth event remotely while raising donations for a local business owner. The eighth annual Jammin for Jaclyn Benefit Concert will be streamed through Facebook Live on June 12 through the handle @JamminforJaclyn. It is scheduled to run from 7 to 10 p.m. This year’s beneficiary is Brian Da Silva, who is battling pancreatic cancer, according to the event organizers. Da Silva is a lifelong resident of Elizabeth and owns CBR Towing and Recovery, LLC, a towing company. ....
