THE GOVERNMENT WILL review how funding returned to the Exchequer from the National Lottery is redistributed to good causes around the country. 
Premier Lotteries Ireland, which runs the lottery, returns almost around 30% of the money paid for its products to the State as required under the terms of its licence.

Irish charity chief executives earning up to €160,000 per year are not overpaid, according to Charities Institute Ireland.
It comes after a survey by
The Irish Sun found that the CEOs of 30 well-known Irish charities are earning between €70,000 and €159,800 per year.
On
Newstalk Breakfast this morning, Charities Institute Ireland CEO Liz Hughes said workers in the charity sector, “deserve to be paid their value.”
“Charities have had a huge impact on Irish society. They deliver key services to the most vulnerable and these charities need staff doing professional jobs.
“All of these people deserve to be paid the value of the work they do.” ....
