The Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Nations Office and other International Organisations at Geneva has highlight Cambodia’s Progress in the field of Human Rights at the Human Rights Council.
The following is the Permanent Mission’s full press release dated July 15:
“The Human Rights Council (HRC) concluded its 47th Session on 14 July 2021 after having hosted a total of 23 thematic Interactive Dialogues and 7 Panel Discussions as well as having adopted 25 resolutions and 2 decisions on thematic and country-specific issues.
During the 4-week interactions (21 June – 14 July 2021), the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Nations Office at Geneva delivered a total of 17 statements, featuring normative and practical achievements and progress of the kingdom in wide-ranging areas of human rights with some highlights below ....

FROM January last year to June this year, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) tested more than 13,000 migrants for tuberculosis (TB), around 200 of whom tested positive and were referred to health centres for treatment.
Dum Chanthida, the national project officer at IOM, told The Post on July 8 that the positive cases were found through tests conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Banteay Meanchey provincial authorities who were working to better implement migration health policy in the province. ....

Community Pharmacists seek equity in health sector

Pharmacists under the auspices of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, ACPN, have called for equity in appointments in the health sector, blaming the poor health system on what they described as ‘greed and avarice.
The pharmacists alleged that greed on the part of the professional group in the sector has continued to encourage the inequitable spread of privileges and resources of players in the sector to the detriment of consumers of health.
In a press statement made available to Good Health Weekly and tagged: “We Must Save the Health System in Our Country Now” and jointly signed by the National Chairman, Dr. Samuel Adekola, and the National Secretary, Pharm. Ambrose Ezeh noted that consumers of health had been short-changed by the Government and providers. ....
