Wilson Street garage ready to open on March 16

MADISON, Wis. The City of Madison Parking Division is opening the Wilson Street Garage on March 16 after repairs and inspections.
The garage closed in February due to a sprinkler malfunction.
The city says corrective and preventive measures have been made in order to safely reopen the garage.
Sprinklers will be reinspected on upper and lower levels before the official reopening. The lowest levels of the garage will be closed to parking and traffic during inspections.

Maximum daily rate increases to $8 for city-owned parking garages

MADISON, Wis. Starting on Jan. 4, 2021, The City of Madison Parking Division will increase the maximum daily rate in all city-owned public parking garages and Brayton Lot from $5 to $8. The first hour of parking will remain free on Saturdays.
This temporary rate reduction will continue to provide a low cost parking option for residents, workers and businesses during reopening and recovery due to COVID-19.
The maximum rate goes into effect once the amount owed reaches or exceeds $8, halting any additional accrued hourly fees for that day. If the parking session costs less than $8, then that lower amount is charged. ....
