LAHORE: The City Traffic Police Lahore has impounded a car having 200 e-challans. The car driver had violated the traffic signal at least 180 times. The vehicle was e-ticketed 58 times for speeding and 25 times for lane, line violations. The vehicle was taken to a police station. The car owner paid fine amounting to Rs127,400 and his vehicle was released. ....

LAHORE: The City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) has finally seized the vehicle and fined the owner who was involved in traffic violations up to 90 times, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
The traffic wardens in Lahore have finally confiscated the vehicle and fined the owner up to over Rs44,000 over traffic offences up to 90 times. The seized vehicle was sent to the local police station.
According to the police, the car driver had violated the traffic light 41 times and was charged with over-speeding up to 45 times. Besides this, the driver had violated the traffic regulations against one-way traffic once, as well as line lane and zebra crossing thrice. ....

LAHORE:Four persons, including three brothers, were injured in a shootout between two groups in the Gujarpura police area on Thursday.
The accused got infuriated while exchanging hot words and opened fire, as a result a passerby Imran and three brothers Shahzad, Ejaz and Basit got injuries. The accused fled the scene. The injured persons were shifted to hospital.
Body found: Body of a 22-year old youth was recovered from Bhaseen BRB Canal on Thursday. The victim was identified as Sajid Khan of Shahdara Town. Sajid had left his house to go to the canal for swimming three days ago. Body was handed over to the family. ....

Driver's License Tickets Issued This Year Will Become Unusable from 2021

The City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) has announced that the driver’s license tickets issued in 2020 will become moot in 2021. The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Hammad Abid, has requested the citizens to use the tickets dated 2020 before the end of the year, as they shall become moot on January 1st, 2021.
The CTO reminded the public that there are 19 driver’s license issuing facilities and three driving test centers in Lahore. He added that the department has also initiated a door-to-door campaign, whereby two mobile learner vans have been dedicated to traversing through various areas and sensitizing the general public regarding the on-road etiquette. ....
