Ready to move forward to resolve issues with India through talks: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Pakistan has “always stood for peace” and remains ready to move forward to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue as the country marked the second anniversary of Operation Swift Retort.
In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister on Saturday congratulated the nation and saluted the armed forces on the second anniversary of the country’s response to India’s “illegal, reckless military strikes” against Pakistan.
On February 26, 2019 India violated Pakistani airspace and dropped bombs on Balakot. The following day Pakistan responded and in the ensuing dogfight, downed two Indian aircraft and captured Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, who was released shortly after as a peace gesture. ....

EC removes ADG (law-order), Trinamool smells 'politics' | Kolkata News


Trinamool Congress seniors said they “smelt politics” behind the move but chose not to comment officially on the decision. Party MP Saugata Roy linked the transfer to a BJP complaint on “law and order in Bengal” lodged by party MP Swapan Dasgupta and Bengal leader Shishir Bajoria.
The EC also informed the state government that as many as 29 IAS officers and nine IPS officers would be sent to other poll-bound states as poll observers. They include several state secretaries and two ADGs.
Shamim, who was Kolkata Police special commissioner, was made ADG (law and order) on Februrary 6 to comply with an EC directive that said officials previously transferred by the EC could not be given “active poll duty” again. ....

Rehman Malik urges govt to move ICJ over biased FATF decision

ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Senator Abdul Rehman Malik has strongly reacted to the FATF decision of keeping Pakistan on the grey list until June despite significant progress, and has termed the decision as highly biased and influenced by anti-Pakistan propaganda.
He urged the government to move International Court of Justice against FATF for biased decision. “What a gross injustice to Pakistan that FATF again kept Pakistan on its grey list till June 2021 while Pakistan has implemented 24 demands out of 27,” he said while reacting on the decision. ....
