Mohd Sahril Sahruddin, who appeared before Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles, was accused of committing the offence at 8.40am on July 21 this year in front of the Nationwide Express Courier Services Sdn Bhd office, Block C, HS Commercial Centre in Penampang. However, no plea was recorded from Sahril after the charge was read out to him, who was at the central lock up in Kepayan, via video conferencing. Self-employed Ag Saidi Serin @ Sirin pleaded guilty before Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles to committing the offence at 4.35pm on Jan 20 this year at a garage in Kg Meruntum, Phase 2, Jalan Putatan Lok Kawi in Penampang. Inspector Albert Basiri who prosecuted told the court that a police team during Ops Dadu arrested a man, later identified as Saidi for gambling and seized the paraphernalia used in the activity including handphones and RM677 cash.
