Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that government policies would be aimed towards raising productivity and cutting down on imports in the farm sector, reported PTI. He claimed that the Centre’s holistic approach towards agriculture, animal husbandry and fishing was the reason behind the sector registering growth even amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Modi was addressing the sixth meeting of the governing council of planning body NITI Aayog.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday asserted that India had become a “more confident nation” when it came to national security and securing the country’s borders, reported PTI. His comments came amid simmering tensions with China along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh.
“The biggest consideration on geospatial regulations was on security,” Modi said, while addressing the Nasscom Technology and Leadership Forum. “India is more confident nation now which can be seen on our borders.”
The prime minister hailed his government’s role in using technology for the betterment of people. “Whether its projects related to our infrastructure or building of homes of the poor, Geotagging of every projects is being done so that they can be completed on time,” Modi said. “Even today, villages are being mapped with the help of drones, and human interface is being reduced in tax-related matters.”

While replying to the 'Motion of Thanks' on the President's address in Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that 'Kisan Rail' and 'Kisan Udaan' is helping in easy transportation of produce of small farmers. Quoting Sharad Pawar, PM Modi said that the NCP Chief had advocated APMC Act reforms to safeguard farmers.
PM Modi further said that both Public and private sectors are necessary for development of the country. "Take any sector - telecom, pharma. We see the role of the private sector. If India is able to serve humanity, it is also due to the role of the private sector," he said.

New Delhi, Jan 26: India's fate is determined by its every citizen, whether it is the 'satyagrahi' farmer, labourer, small and medium businessman, young job seeker or a housewife troubled by inflation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday as he greeted people on Republic Day.
India is celebrating its 72nd Republic Day, the day its Constitution came into force in 1950. "Every citizen of India determines the fate of the country, whether it is the 'satyagrahi' farmer-labourer or small-medium businessman, young job seeker or a housewife troubled by inflation," Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi.
"The Republic is from you, the Republic belongs to you," he said, extending best wishes to people on the occasion. The Congress, on its official Twitter handle, said, "We shall never forget the struggles and sacrifices our brave hearts had to make to bring us freedom and our own Constitution. This Republic Day, let's renew our sacred vow to uphold justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. Jai Hind!"
