Nalgonda (Telangana) [India], February 11 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao compared a group of protestors at a public event to dogs on Wednesday. The comment caused an uproar with the opposition parties who have demanded an apology from the TRS leader.
While addressing a public gathering, after laying the foundation stone of a government scheme in the Nagarjun Sagar area of the Nalgonda district, a group of people, including some women, wanted to give a representation to the Chief Minister and started to protest.
Responding to the disturbance, the CM said, Now that you have given the memo, leave from here. If you want to stay, please remain calm. No one will be distributed by your stupid acts, you will be beaten up unnecessarily. We have seen many people, amma, there are a lot of dogs like you. ....

Nalgonda (Telangana): The death toll rose to nine in a Telangana road accident involving women farm labourers, with two more succumbing while undergoing treatment, police said Friday. Police had said that six women farm workers were among seven people killed and over 10 injured when a jam-packed auto-rickshaw and a container truck collided head-on on a highway in the district Thursday. “Two more women died while undergoing treatment and 11 others are being treated in hospital,” a police official said. He added that conditions of three of the injured were very critical.
The official further said the truck driver who is now in custody was found to be in an inebriated condition when the incident happened. ....

Nalgonda (Telangana) [India], January 22 (ANI): Seven people including six women died and 13 injured after a lorry and auto collided in Telangana s Nalgonda district on Thursday.
Ranganath, Superintendent of Police (SP), Nalgonda District told ANI, In a fatal road accident seven including six women were killed and 13 persons received severe injuries in a lorry and passenger auto head-on collision. On Thursday at 6:30 pm a passenger auto carrying 20 agriculture labourers were heading back to Devarakonda mandal after completing agricultural work in a nearby village.
Those who sustained injuries have been shifted to a hospital. The lorry driver has been taken to custody and a case is being registered under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC), the SP said. ....
