Shree Nagaraja theatre situated at the junction of Kabir Road and Benki Nawab Street in Mandi Mohalla has become the latest single-screen theatre in the city to wind up operations.
It had attracted film-goers for several decades by screening latest Hindi and Kannada hit films, besides English and other language movies also.

Govt. vaccination kiosks setup at 29 Private Hospitals 
Mysore/Mysuru: From tomorrow, get free
COVID-19 vaccination at Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes too, thanks to an understanding between the District Administration and MAHAN (Mysore Association of Hospitals And Nursing Homes) to vaccinate at least three lakh people within 15 days.
As many as 29 MAHAN Group Hospitals have come forward to vaccinate people for free, at their facility between 10 am and 5 pm, Dr. P. Ravi, Family Planning Officer and In-Charge of COVID-19 Vaccination in Private Hospitals, told Star of Mysore.
However, he clarified that the ongoing vaccination at Private Hospitals with a fee of Rs. 250 per dose, fixed by the Government of India, too will continue.

Saree, Ethnic Walkathons draw good response


Mysore/Mysuru: As part of
International Women’s Day and World Women’s Heart Day, a Saree and Ethnic Walkathons were held in city this morning. While the Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Central held a ‘Saree Walkathon,’ Cardiology Society of India, Mysore Chapter, had organised an ‘Ethnic Walkathon.’
In the first event, Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Central conducted Saree Walkathon in two categories — above 50 years and below 50 years. Karnataka Police Training School Principal Dr. Dharanidevi Malagatti, who inaugurated the event, appreciated the organisers for organising ‘Saree Walkathon’ since saree has been the symbol of rich cultural heritage of India. Through this, they have explained the importance of saree, she added.
