Sligo has been chosen as one of a small number of destinations to collaborate with Fáilte Ireland on a new St. Patrick s Day Regional Festival Development Programme.
It puts Sligo in a key position to promote its county and tourism potential into the future and also offers an opportunity to create something special for March 17th to lift everyone s mood.
It is hoped this will keep Sligo to the forefront of people s mindx as the place to celebrate St. Patrick s Day when it is safe to travel again.
A successful collaboration between Sligo County Council, Sligo BID and Sligo St. Patrick s Day Committee has resulted in an award of €25,000 to the Council, from Fáilte Ireland, for the development of an exciting programme to take the St. Patrick s Day celebrations to a new level. ....
