HOUSTON — A couple alleges the contractor they hired to build their new home in Houston is $75,000 overdrawn on the project and failed to complete work on time and that the work violated building codes.
Chris Cuzick and Leslie Cuzick filed a complaint July 12 in Harris County District Court against SRR Construction Services LLC, Ray Steven Ramirez, individually and Nicholas Ramirez individually alleging breach of contract, negligence, fraud, breach of express warranty and other claims.
According to the Cuzick's complaint, the couple hired SRR Construction Services on Feb. 5, 2019, to build their new home and swimming pool on their Houston property for a total contract price of $783,074. They allege that they have paid $220,785.07 directly to vendors and suppliers and that after offsets and credits, the defendants owe them $98,682.78, and are overdrawn by at least $75,000 on the project.
