Cost Of President's Travels: Security Minister Is The Best Person To Answer - Ofori-Atta | Politics


 
Minister of Finance Ken Ofori-Atta says the National Security Minister is the best-placed person to furnish the House with the details of the cost of President Nana Akufo Addo’s foreign travels.
He said the President’s domestic and international travels were matters of National Security.
Mr Ofori-Atta made the observation when he appeared before the House to respond to an urgent question by Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu,
Mr Ablakwa wanted to know how much the President’s recent official travels to France, Belgium and South Africa in May cost the Ghanaian taxpayer. ....

Ghana.Gov platform to help increase revenue by GHS3 billion – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that the launch of the comprehensive digital service and revenue collection platform, created to provide a single point of access to Government of Ghana services for the public, will increase government revenue by an estimated GHS3 billion.
The Ghana.gov platform is in line with the government’s vision of digitizing the economy and modernizing the way Government pays its bills and collects fees and charges.
The system is also intended to cut out unnecessary bureaucracies and corruption in the provision of public sector services to the public.
According to the Vice President, the Ghana.gov platform during its pilot phase at the Tourism Ministry saw a four-fold increase in revenue at some major tourist centres in the country. ....
