New Delhi [India], February 17 (ANI): Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International Working President Alok Kumar has lashed out at former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy over his remark on the donation drive for construction of the Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh s Ayodhya.
He (HD Kumaraswamy) has further said that there is no freedom of expression. The fact that he can tweet such unfounded canards against the RSS with impunity proves there is freedom of speech and expression in the country, Kumar told ANI on Tuesday. ....

Claiming that the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is being constructed on a disputed land , Congress leader Siddaramaiah said he would not contribute to the temple donation funds.

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his discontentment with the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya, saying on Tuesday that he would not donate for the Ram Mandir construction because it will be built on disputed land . The Congress leader also said if temple for Hindu lord Ram was being constructed anywhere else, he would have donated.
These people have collected the money, but have they (RSS) furnished accounts? Siddaramaiah said, explaining refusal to donate to the temple construction funds. He added that earlier as well when the bricks were being collected for the Ram temple last time, the donations remained unaccounted for. ....

The total fund for construction of Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Uttar Pradesh s Ayodhya has crossed Rs 600 crore in 20 days, as per the trustees of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Monday. People from every walk of life are making contributions. The dedication fund campaign will run till February 27 and the campaign will gain more speed in the next 19 days.
