President Weah Sets Up Auditor General Vetting Committee

(Monrovia, Liberia):The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has set up an Ad-hoc Committee to identify and recommend top candidates for the post of Auditor General of the Republic of Liberia.
 
Cllr. Archibald F. Bernard, Jr., was named as chair of the committee which comprises heads of integrity institutions in the country.
 
As part of the vetting process, the committee will identify, scrutinize and recommend three candidates to the President for subsequent appointment.
 
President Weah’s decision is in keeping with Section 2.1.1 of the GAC Act of 2014 on the selection and appointment of Auditor General. ....
