Thiruvananthapuram, June 5 : The new Pinarayi Vijayan government that assumed office on May 20 has already made its intentions clear regarding the higher education sector in the state.
Higher education in one of the most literate state is all set to undergo a large-scale revamp.
What has brought cheer to the cadets and officials of the National Cadet Corps is that in all likelihood NCC will soon be integrated into the higher education curriculum.
The Directorate General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), New Delhi, and the University Grants Commission (UGC) has written a letter to vice-chancellors of all universities on April 15, for the introduction of NCC as a General Elective Credit Course (GECC). ....

All Universities in Rajasthan will be postponing their Exams for the current academic semester of 2021. Rajasthan Chief Minister on Thursday announced a weekend curfew in the state from April 16 to April 19.

The State Higher Education Minister, Bhanwar Singh Bharti directed the Universities of Rajasthan to postpone their exams until further notice in view of the current sudden rise in Covid cases in the state.
