About $38.5M in financial assistance available to struggling renters in Kent County

GRAND RAPIDS, MI An estimated $38.5 million in rent and utility payment assistance is flooding into Kent County.
The federal COVID-19 relief dollars, allocated this week and administered by the state, greatly exceed the previous amount of $2.8 million in rental assistance received by Kent County partners last summer.
The new dollars also have looser federal restrictions, providing far greater flexibility to help more households. ....
