All exit and entry approvals that have been obtained through MyTravelPass, MyEntry or other entry approvals are now null/voided. 
Malaysia s Immigration Department (ESD) has announced new entry restrictions on citizens from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Nepal.
This comes in lieu of statement by Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Ismail Sabri Yaakob on 5 May, where he announced a travel ban on flights to and from these countries, the ESD stated. These are namely:
Temporary flight restrictions for exit and entry from the abovementioned countries, either via direct flight or transit to Malaysia. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 The Malaysian authorities have detained Nigerian man Simon Adavize Momoh for more than a month now, even after he had paid a fine and served his one-day jail term for a drink-driving offence.
Today, the Shah Alam High Court will hear the bid by his Malaysian wife Low Kar Hui to challenge the alleged unlawful detention and to secure his release. ....

Malaysia introduces new e-Special Pass for online Employment Pass renewals

Malaysia s Immigration Department has introduced the e-Special Pass (eSP) submission through Expatriate Service Division (ESD) online.
According to a statement, this takes effect from today (15 March 2021) onwards, and is only applicable to Employment Pass renewal application submission through ESD online.
The Immigration Department noted that the eSP for other passes (i.e. Professional Visit Pass (PVP), Dependent Pass (DP), Long-Term Social Visit Pass (LT-SVP) etc) will be introduced at a later date. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 With more Malaysians marrying foreigners and creating transnational families, the government should relook its current citizenship and immigration policies as a way to develop the country’s talent, Opposition MP Charles Santiago suggested.
The Klang MP warned that the brain drain issue may worsen if such policies continue to be less than welcoming of transnational families as they may migrate to another country perceived to be more accommodating. ....
