Congress MLA from Haryana’s Kalka constituency Pradeep Chaudhary stands disqualified from January 14, after his conviction by a Himachal Pradesh court in an assault, rioting case.
Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta on Saturday said a notification in this regard has been issued by the Assembly secretariat.
“Consequent upon the conviction of Pradeep Chaudhary, MLA, by the court of Jitender Kumar, Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Nalagarh, District Solan…Shri Pradeep Chaudhary, stands disqualified from the membership of Haryana Vidhan Sabha from the date of his conviction, ie January 14, 2021. And accordingly one Assembly seat has fallen vacant,” read the notification. ....

JAMMU: Crime Branch Jammu produced 320 page charge-sheet, against accused duo- viz(1) Retired Veterinary Doctor Rehmatullah Khora age 73 years S/O late Sh. Habibullah Khora R/O Balwan Mohalla Tehsil & District Doda and (2) Sajjad Ahmed Najjar, age 48 years S/O Late Sh. Abdul Gafar R/O H.No. 57 ward No.6, near Jamia Mohalla Kishtwar in case FIR No. 14/2019 U/S 420,120-B RPC for their involvement in duping the unemployed youth of their hard earned money after hatching criminal conspiracy to cheat them by way of inducement on the pretext of arranging Jobs in J&K Bank. The charge-sheet has been produced in the Hon’ble Court of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Thatri on 18-12-2020 for judicial determination. ....
