Property developer Mirvac has warned the Berejiklian government that a request to shrink the size of its proposed Harbourside Shopping Centre redevelopment would render the $708 million project financially unviable.
The Independent Planning Commission is assessing Mirvac’s unsolicited proposal to overhaul the 1980s shopping centre at Darling Harbour with new shops, offices, public space and a 42-storey residential tower.
Mirvac has been asked to make changes to its revised concept proposal to revamp the outdated shopping centre. ....

Residents of Pratten and the surrounding area are being urged to have their say on a suite of upgrades headed for the small and tight knit Southern Downs community.
The Urban Design Framework developed by Southern Downs Regional Council and town planners Ethos Urban has reached its final design phases, and is now set to be reviewed by the Pratten community at a public workshop on Tuesday.
â(These were) reinforcing local identity, township improvements and upgrades, and fostering a cohesive and active community,â the spokeswoman said.

The much-loved Dog on the Tucker Box has been an essential stop-off point on the Hume Highway for almost a century, charming visitors with the legend of its loyal canine companion protecting a drover’s precious tucker as he struggled to mend a broken cartwheel.

THE people of Pratten are urged to take their future into their own hands and share their vision for their tightknit community.
Residents are invited to a drop-in workshop, hosted by Southern Downs Regional Council next week.
The Pratten Urban Design Framework will consider how design, land use and community activities can shape Pratten as a town and will outline future initiatives to enhance the
character and identity of Pratten.
