LABUAN, April 22 The number of people registered for Covid-19 vaccine in Labuan has surged from over 16 per cent in March to 44.1 per cent in April.
Labuan Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) chairman Rithuan Ismail said the number of vaccinated individuals here, as of Wednesday, stood at 3,762 including 2,340 frontliners who had completed the second dose end of March. ....

PETALING JAYA: Various parties are gearing up for the launch of the second phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme on April 19, though much remains to be done to hit the ground running.
Under the second phase, the elderly, chronically ill and people with disabilities are prioritised for vaccination.
People in these groups can check for their vaccination appointment on the MySejahtera app or on the website https://www.vaksincovid.gov.my/
As of March 28, about two million people had signed up under the second phase to receive either the Pfizer or Sinovac vaccine, though the original target was nine million people. ....

Khairy: Covid-19 vaccination appointment notifications to start Monday (April 5)


PETALING JAYA: Vaccination appointment notifications for the second phase of the National Covid-19 Vaccination programme will be sent out starting Monday (April 5).
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said recipients in Phase 2 will receive notifications 14 days before their appointment.
We hope they will do their best to keep their appointments to avoid wasting the vaccine, he said at the weekly press conference on the progress of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme on Monday.
The second phase of the vaccination programme will start on April 19 and will cover those above 60, those with co-morbidities as well as people with disabilities (OKU). ....

KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 It has been over a week since Malaysia started its National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme on February 24 with the prime minister being the first in the country to take the jab, and about two million people have voluntarily signed up to be vaccinated as of 3pm yesterday.
This represented about 8.6 per cent of Malaysia’s plan to have 23.6 million people vaccinated by February 2022. Also yesterday, a total of 99,616 people in Malaysia have already received their first dose of the vaccine. ....
