Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu of the Nigerian Navy and his escort has allegedly assaulted a police officer, Suleiman Jazuli and his brother, Barrister Hadi Jazuli.
The victims sustained various degrees of injuries on their bodies, including the chest and eyes, when the Naval personnel hit them with guns
In March, Dewu, a former Commander of NNS Delta State, was redeployed to the Nigerian Navy Hotels and Suites Limited as Managing Director.
The senior officer and four security details got furious because the Jazuli brothers attempted to overtake their convoy.
The incident occurred last Monday at the Galadima Estate entrance gate in Abuja, the Nigerian capital. ....

The Chief of Naval Staff, Awwal Gambo, has approved the redeployment of about 257 officers of the force, the Nation newspaper is reporting.
A statement by the Director of Information, Nigerian Navy, Suleiman Dahun, on Saturday, said the exercise followed the appointment of new service chiefs.
The Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force had announced similar redeployments earlier in the month.
Mr Dahun, a commodore, said 60 rear admirals, 123 commodores and 74 captains were affected by the redeployment. ....

The Nigerian Navy has announced the redeployment of no fewer than 257 senior officers, including 60 Rear Admirals, 123 Commodores and 74 Captains.
A statement by the Director of Information, Nigerian Navy, Commodore Suleiman Dahun, said the shakeup was a sequel to the appointment of new Service Chiefs.
The statement read, “The Nigerian Navy has released major postings of its senior officers following the recent appointment of new Service Chiefs. The major postings involved a total of 257 senior officers. The postings affected 60 rear admirals, 123 commodores and 74 captains.”
“In the postings, Rear Admiral Francis Isaac, formerly the Navy Secretary, has been appointed Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters while Rear Admiral Abraham Adaji, formerly Group Managing Director, Nigerian Navy Holdings Limited is now the Chief of Training and Operations, Naval Headquarters. ....
