Wellington solo mum Yessenia Sandoval is sending out free period packs to people in need.
Just after last year s national lockdown, she began giving out care packs to people with endometriosis who had gone through surgery.
Coinciding with endometriosis awareness month in March, Sandoval decided to reach out on the Vic Deals Facebook page to see if she could help people who also suffered with heavy periods.
“I didn’t expect for it to go the way it did,” she said. Within 24 hours she had 40 to 50 emails.
Sandoval said she was shocked at how many people needed help. ....
