At least 32 people have died and 19 others were injured after a five-storey building collapsed near JJ Junction in Pakmodia street of Bhendi Bazar, Mumbai on Thursday.
The incident took place after heavy rain fall lashed the metropolitan in the last couple of days. The police informed that more than 30-35 people are feared trapped under the debris. ....

NDRF 10th Battalion cleaning up Krishna river at Seethanagaram village in Guntur district on Monday.

Officials of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) 10th Battalion have taken up operation ‘Krishna River Clean Up’ under Swachhata Abhiyaan programme.
About 300 NDRF personnel along with Commandant Zahid Khan, Deputy Commandants Sukhendu Datta and Dilbagh Singh, participated in the drive at Seethanagaram village in Guntur district on Monday.
The NDRF cleaned the Krishna River bank, bathing ghats at Seethanagaram village and at the downstream of Prakasam barrage. They removed the linen, puja material and flowers stuck in the river. ....

Araria district accounted for 30 deaths, West Champaran 23, Sitamarhi 13, Madhubani 8 and Katihar 7. 11 each have died in Kisanganj, East Champaran and Supual and 9 each in Purnea and Madhepura. ....

New Delhi [India], February 22 (ANI): Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Monday chaired a high-level meeting here to discuss further course of action on the lake created after flash floods in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, said sources.
The meeting was attended by SS Deswal, Director General (DG), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), SN Pradhan, Director General, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Uttarakhand state officials and other senior officials.
The meeting lasted for 45 minutes and it was decided that the concerned agencies will observe water flow in the lake for some time. ....
