DHAKA, Jan 31, 2021 (BSS) – The much awaited dream of the nation has come true with the Padma Bridge as it is a great achievement for Bangladesh, “Hats Off” to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for showing the development partners and the world of Bangladesh’s capacity to implement such a mega project.
According to the editorial of the current news bulletin (Oct-Dec, 2020) of International Chamber of Commerce-Bangladesh (ICCB) released today, Bangladesh will be connected with many of the South and Southeast Asian countries with the completion of the Padma Bridge being built with own resources. ....

Four mega projects, including the Padma Bridge and Dhaka Metro Rail, will be completed by June next year, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said yesterday.
The other two projects are Dhaka Elevated Expressway and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel under the Karnaphuli River in Chattogram.
We will open all these [four] by June next year, Quader said at a press conference at his Secretariat office.
The work in these mage projects has gathered pace and is progressing very fast, he noted. ....
