মহামারী করোনা সবার জীবনে অভিশাপ হয়ে এলেও আশীর্বাদস্বরূপও হয় কারও কারও ক্ষেত্রে। তাদেরই একজন মো: শফিক মাহমুদ। করোনা মহামারীর কারণে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ছুটির এই সময়কে কাজে লাগিয়ে পড়াশোনার পাশাপাশি শফিক ফ্রিল্যান্সিং শিখে আয় করেছেন প্রায় দুই লাখ টাকা।

UGC allows online exams for public universities

The University Grants Commission today allowed public universities to hold exams online, keeping in mind that it would benefit students and also reduce session jams. We have taken the decision to allow public universities to hold their exams online, maintaining quality and international standards, UGC Chairman Professor Kazi Shahidullah told The Daily Star after holding a meeting with vice chancellors of all public universities to discuss the process of holding online exams.
The universities will be able to take exams online after consulting with their academic councils or other bodies concerned, he added.
Dr Amitabh Sarker has joined Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) as chairman.
Prior to the new role, he was a divisional commissioner of Barishal Division, according to a statement on Wednesday.
He was Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary of Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives. He started his career with Khulna Divisional Commissioner Office as an Assistant Commissioner in 1991.
He completed his graduation in agriculture from Bangladesh Agriculture University and MBA from Bangladesh Open University.
He attended a number of training programmes and workshops at home and abroad.
