Bajaj Auto share was trading flat ahead of its March quarter earnings to be announced on Thursday. At 1:28 hours, Bajaj Auto share was trading at Rs 3,883.05, down 0.19 per cent on the BSE.
On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the stock has gained around 13 per cent against a rise of 7 per cent in the Nifty Auto index.
According to Kotak Institutional Equities, volumes during the quarter increased by 18 per cent YoY led by 24 per cent YoY increase in export motorcycle volumes, 21 per cent yearly increase in domestic motorcycle volumes offset by 12 per cent YoY decline in three-wheeler segment volumes in the quarter ended March 2021. It expects revenues to increase by 19 per cent YoY and EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) by 15 per cent YoY.

Bajaj Auto reports sale of 3,69,448 units in March amid Covid-19 disruption


The Pune-based company had dispatched 2,42,575 units in March 2020, amid COVID-19 led disruptions.
The company's total domestic sales last month stood at 1,98,551 units while the same was at 1,16,541 units in the year-ago period, Bajaj Auto said in a regulatory filing.
Bajaj Auto's total two-wheeler sales were at 3,30,133 units last month. It had dispatched 2,10,976 units in March 2020.
Overall commercial vehicles sales stood at 39,315 units in March. The company had dispatched 31,599 units in the year-ago period.
Bajaj Auto said its total exports last month were at 1,70,897 units. It had shipped 1,26,034 units in March 2020.
For the 2020-21 fiscal, the company reported sales of 39,72,914 units, down 14 per cent from 46,15,212 units in 2019-20.

Auto major Bajaj Auto Ltd on Tuesday reported a 6 per cent increase in total sales at 3,75,017 units in February. The company had sold 3,54,913 units in the same month last year, Bajaj Auto said in a statement.
Total two-wheeler sales were at 3,32,563 units against 3,10,222 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 7 per cent. Domestic two-wheeler sales were marginally higher at 1,48,934 units compared to 1,46,876 units in February last year, the company said. The company's two-wheeler export grew 12 per cent 1,83,629 as compared to 1,163,346 in February 2020.

Bajaj Auto on Monday reported 6 per cent rise in total sales at 3,75,017 units in February, as against 3,54,913 units in the same month last year.
Total domestic sales declined by 2 per cent to 1,64,811 units last month, as compared to 1,68,747 units sold in February 2020, Bajaj Auto said in a regulatory filing.
Bajaj Auto's total two-wheeler sales were up 7 per cent to 3,32,563 units, as compared to 3,10,222 units in the year-ago month.
Overall commercial vehicles sales declined by 5 per cent at 42,454 units last month, as compared to 44,691 units in the year-ago period.
Bajaj Auto said its total exports last month rose 13 per cent to 2,10,206 units, as compared to 1,86,166 units in February 2020.

Bajaj Auto logs 8% rise in sales in Jan, two-wheeler export up by 30%


Bajaj Auto Ltd on Tuesday reported an 8 per cent increase in total sales at 4,25,199 units in January.
The company had sold 3,94,473 units in the same month last year, Bajaj Auto said in a statement.
Total two-wheeler sales were at 3,84,936 units as against 3,32,342 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 16 per cent.
Domestic two-wheeler sales were marginally lower at 1,57,404 units as compared to 1,57,796 units in January last year, the company said.
Bajaj Auto said it posted its highest ever two-wheeler exports in January at 2,27,532 units as compared to 1,74,546 units in the same month last year, a growth of 30 per cent.

Meanwhile, the share price of Bajaj Auto has risen nearly 28% since September 30, as the investors cheered robust sales growth during the quarter. The stock achieved a milestone in December after its market value crossed the ₹1 lakh crore ($14 billion) mark on the Indian stock exchanges.

The Indian automobile industry struggled in the first half of 2020 but it showed signs of recovery in the latter half. And by the end of 2020, things seemed to have improved substantially. Carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, MG, and Toyota reported sales growth in December 2020 as compared to December 2019. MG, in fact, reported a 77 per cent sales growth in 2020 as compared to 2019. Adding to this list is another Indian carmaker -- Tata Motors -- which reported a massive 84 per cent sales growth. The company sold  23,545 units in December 2020 as opposed to 12,785 units in December 2019. Tata cars' sales in India also increased by 8.79 per cent as compared to November 2020. The company also that its sales in the third quarter of FY2020-21 increased by 89 per cent as compared to Q3 FY2019-2020.
