With the rising day temperatures,
Telangana is heading for scorching summer but on water front there is some good news for the state.
According to
Ground Water Department of the state, there was a net rise in groundwater level of 2.16 m during March 2021 as compared to the same month last year. The rise is observed in 27 districts and fall in remaining six districts.
Average groundwater level in the state during March 2021 is 8.35 meters below ground level (m bgl) and it varies from 3.50 m bgl (Wanaparthy) to 14.87 m bgl ( ....

Hyderabad, April 8 : With the rising day temperatures, Telangana is heading for scorching summer but on water front there is some good news for the state.
According to Ground Water Department of the state, there was a net rise in groundwater level of 2.16 m during March 2021 as compared to the same month last year. The rise is observed in 27 districts and fall in remaining six districts.
Average groundwater level in the state during March 2021 is 8.35 meters below ground level (m bgl) and it varies from 3.50 m bgl (Wanaparthy) to 14.87 m bgl (Medak). Out of 33 districts, only in one district, average water level is 10 m bgl. ....

Hyderabad: The TRS is betting big on the development it brought about for the Nagarjunasagar assembly constituency areas over the past six years of its rule, hoping this would help it win more votes and retain the seat in the April 17 bypoll.

Thanks to heavy rains that took place last year, paddy cultivation in Medak district has considerably increased. Lift irrigation projects, desilting of lakes and check dams are also a reason for the increase in production of the crop .
The area under paddy transplantation has increased enormously due to increase in groundwater and adequate amount of rainfall received in the past five years. The actual rainfall received from 2017 to 2020 was 849.7 mm, 700 mm, 540.6 mm, 916.9 mm and 867.5 mm respectively. The good amount of rainfall received in the past five years has increased the groundwater level in Medak district. ....
