Three armed intruders broke into Bethesda home, police say
Break-in not considered ‘random’

Three males with handguns broke into a home in Bethesda this month and tried to rob the residents, Montgomery County police said Tuesday.
The males, who were wearing masks, entered a home in the 6500 block of Elgin Lane the night of Dec. 11, police said in a press release Tuesday.
The intruders demanded money from the home’s occupants, then left without taking anything, police said. Police said witnesses saw the males get in a vehicle that might have been a BMW.
The break-in was reported to detectives at 8:44 p.m. that night, police said. ....
