City of Cedar Rapids looking for volunteers for Saturday cleanup of parks

As the City of Cedar Rapids continues spring clean-up efforts following last summer’s derecho, they’ve put the call out for volunteers to help with neighborhood projects.
This Saturday, organized clean-ups of the Bever Park Neighborhood and the Northwest Neighborhood will begin at 9am. Then at 1pm, volunteers will meet at Cleveland Park to clean up that neighborhood.
Additional neighborhood cleanups will occur the following Saturday at the Oak Hill Jackson Neighborhood and the Westdale Neighborhood.
The city is also looking for volunteers to clean up golf course grounds and parks, and the Ushers Ferry Historic Village area.
