FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Fayetteville Police Chief Mike Reynolds announced the Fayetteville Police Department (FPD) has partnered with the University of Arkansas (UA) School of Social Work to provide a master’s level internship program.
The program will help connect citizens with community-based supportive services and identify human service needs for Fayetteville residents.
Program goals include:
Identify victims of crime who would benefit from additional community resources and or counseling. ....

Fayetteville police are investigating after a man was found dead in a vehicle overnight.Police identified the man as Cameron Johnson, age 32.Officers responded to a shooting call on Deane Street at 12:43 a.m. Monday, Sgt. Anthony Murphy, Fayetteville Police Dept. spokesperson, told 40/20.When they arrived, Johnson unresponsive in a vehicle, Murphy said. He was pronounced dead on the scene.The initial investigation showed Johnson had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.Officers believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.Murphy said no other information was available. ....
