Ranchi: One person died under mysterious circumstances during an idol immersion procession in Ambatoli colony under Pithoria police station on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Paras Bedia (45). Rural SP Naushad Alam and DSP Neeraj Kumar reached the spot to initiate an investigation. Kumar said, “Paras was watching a Saraswati Puja procession along with others at around 7:30pm on Wednesday. No sooner the procession passed, he fell down with a head injury. Villagers rushed him to the local hospital where he passed away.” The DSP said the exact cause of death will be known after an autopsy. He said one person present at the spot during the incident has emerged as the prime suspect and a search was on to nab him. ....
