Since the first shipments of coronavirus vaccine made their way into our state, the Huntsville Hospital System has played a key role in vaccinating North Alabamians.
On Monday, the hospital made it a whole lot easier to sign up for a vaccine at its John Hunt Park clinic.
It launched an online portal to sign up for the first dose. Prior to this system, it would take up to a month for people to get an appointment.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Huntsville Hospital announced a self-scheduling option for appointments at the Community Vaccination Clinic at John Hunt Park.
The new sign-up method allows you to select your date and time for vaccination without the need for a follow up phone call, according to Huntsville Hospital.
An email will be sent to you confirming your initial appointment and your follow up visit that is needed three weeks later for the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
People who are currently on the hospital’s waiting list for vaccination are encouraged, but not required to use the new self-scheduling application to schedule an appointment.
