Over 4.3k birds die due to flu in 19 days across Rajasthan
In past 19 days, the death toll of birds due to suspected avian influenza virus has touched 4,390. The bird flu has been found in 16 districts. On Wednesday, 443 bird deaths were reported in the state and 62 samples out of 251 sent were found positive.

In Maharashtra, bird flu has been confirmed as the cause of death of around 900 hens in the last few days at a poultry farm in Parbhani district
The district administration has now decided to cull nearly 8,000 birds in Murumba village where these hens died
The outbreak of bird flu has already been confirmed in Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh
New Delhi: Bird flu has now been confirmed in Delhi, as eight samples sent to a Bhopal-based laboratory for testing confirmed bird flu in the national capital. All eight samples four from a park in Mayur Vihar Phase 3, three from Sanjay Lake, and one from Dwarka have been found positive for avian influenza, Dr Rakesh Singh from the animal husbandry unit of the Development Department told PTI. ....

Bird flu scare: Centre confirms bird flu in 6 states, Haryana to cull 1.6L birds

In recent developments around the scare of avian influenza or bird blue, a Bhopal based laboratory confirmed that 4,37,000 birds have died in Haryana. Until now, Centre has confirmed bird blu in 6 states- Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
The Centre on Friday held a meeting with States and Union Territories to understand the status of the outbreak of bird flu. Steps and measures to control the spread of the same were also discussed during the meeting. An official statement read that so far, the disease had been confirmed in 6 states, the culling operations had been completed in the two affected districts of Kerala and the disinfection process was underway. ....

Bird flu: 12 epicentres identified in four states
After the confirmation of positive reports of H5N8 virus (a variant of avian influenza) from NIHSAD, the 12 epicentres have been identified in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala.

Several states have sounded an alert to contain the H5N8 strain of bird flu and sent samples for testing. Meanwhile, Kerala began culling of chickens and ducks.
