(Focus file photo 1971) 25 years ago Gas hearing tonight for proposed expansion of city system A public hearing on the proposed expansion of the Perham natural gas system will be held this evening, Thursday, Feb. 22, starting at 7 p.m. in the City Council chamber of City Hall. The city of Perham is proposing an expansion that would surround most of Little Pine, Big Pine, a portion of Rush and most of Otter Tail Lakes; and the city of Ottertail. If it moves forward, it would do so this summer and be available next fall. ....

Prairie Wind Middle School’s Intervention Specialist James Mulcahy updated the Perham-Dent School Board on the structure of the school’s current child care situation at the school board meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 9. Mulcahy said child care is housed in the middle school has seen between 26 and 38 students with students in the third grade making up the highest proportion of the students in care. ....
