New Delhi, June 9 : Delhi University (DU) has written a letter asking social media app Telegram to shut down a specific group on the app through which students were being allegedly told the answers to questions asked in the online open book examination held by the university.
Open book examinations in Delhi University have started from Monday and have been conducted only for the final year students. These examinations have been conducted for all the three categories of students Regular, School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women s Education Board (NCWEB). ....

During late evening on 21 June, two men allegedly tried to kidnap a Delhi University student in Vijay Vihar but their attempts were thwarted by the woman who threatened them with a knife.
After the incident, the accused were arrested, said police.
The woman, who is pursuing her graduation from Delhi University s School Of Open Learning, was returning home on June 21 around 8 PM when the two men, who are in their 20s and work as drivers for a cab aggregator firm, allegedly made some comments on the woman, police said. ....
