Strafford County warming center open as frigid weather hits
The Strafford County extreme cold weather warming center, located at 30 Willand Drive in Somersworth, is open through Tuesday morning.
The Tri-Cities of Dover, Rochester and Somersworth activated the facility as of Friday, and it will be open from 5 p.m. each night to 8 a.m. the following morning.
The National Weather Service anticipates Strafford County temperatures throughout the weekend to be in the 20s during the day and drop down to single digits to low teens in the evening.
