As Defence Acquisition Committee (DAC) of the Defence Ministry gives its go-ahead, the army will soon acquire 118 Arjun Mk-1A at a cost of around Rs 8,500 cr.

The tanks will be manufactured at Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) of Combat Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) at Avadi
The MK-1A s gun is operated via a computerised integrated fire control that allows for high first-round kill capabilities.
