PRAYAGRAJ: A two members committee comprising ADM (Administration) and SP (Trans Ganga) has been constituted to probe the incident wherein some unidentified persons had removed shrouds from the bodies buried in the sand at Shringverpur ghat on the banks of Ganga river in trans Ganga area of Prayagraj district.
The district authorities swung into action after a video clip wherein some unidentified men were spotted removing shrouds from bodies buried in sand at Shringverpur Ghat went viral on social media on Tuesday.
District Magistrate (Prayagraj) Bhanu Chandra Goswami and DIG \ SSP (Prayagraj) Sarvashresth Tripathi found the issue sensitive and serious and further ordered the probe into the incident. ....

Prayagraj district administration orders probe
The Prayagraj district administration has ordered a probe into the removal of shrouds from the bodies buried in the sand on the ghats of the Ganga, days after it was reported that the bodies could be of suspected COVID-19 victims.
A two-member committee of ADM (administration) and ASP (Gangapur) Prayagraj would probe the matter.
In a joint statement, DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami and Prayagraj DIG Sarvashresth Tripathi said the matter was “extremely serious and sensitive.” ....

PRAYAGRAJ: Moti Lal Nehru Medical College launched an online OPD services via E-Sanjeevani, a nationwide online OPD services platform and first of its kind being offered by a country government to its citizens, on Saturday.
