Johnston police chief: Man shot in leg was targeted by shooter; the public is in no danger

In Johnston, a man shouting between 3 and 4 a.m. Sunday told police he had been shot in the leg.
JOHNSTON  A man yelling on Atwood Avenue between 3 and 4 a.m. Sunday brought police to where he was standing. He told them he had had been shot in the leg after an argument with several people.
The injured man was uncooperative at first. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he had surgery, Johnston Police Chief Joseph P. Razza said by email Sunday evening.  ....
