Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], March 7 (ANI): Slamming the popular alliances Left Democratic Front (LDF) and United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said the state that was known as the land of social revolution is now known for corruption, political violence and ill-governance. This land of Kerala has always been the land of social revolution. However, this land is known for corruption, political violence, and ill-governance today, said Shah while addressing the valedictory function of BJP s Kerala Vijay Yatra in Shangumugham.
Addressing the gathering state BJP chief K Surendran said only the saffron party can save Kerala.
“People here are seeking a change from the corrupt fronts of LDF and Congress. The reformers have dreamed of a Kerala which is not this Kerala,” he added.
I always wanted to do something for Kerala: E Sreedharan
Sreedharan had joined the BJP last month during its state chief K. Surendran s yatra in Malappuram district.
“The decision to join the BJP marks a new phase in my life. I always wanted to do something for Kerala. I felt it would be best to join the BJP and I have done that,” Sreedharan had said.
