Elderly Barnwell Co. man dies after answering his door and being shot on Christmas morning

BARNWELL COUNTY S.C. (WIS) -Barnwell County Coroner’s Office and the Williston Police Department are investigating the death of a 61-year-old man on Christmas morning.
William Womack of Elko Street in Williston, SC was pronounced dead at 11:44 a.m. after he was shot by an unknown suspect when he answered his door around 11:10 a.m.
