PAWTUCKET – Two remaining candidates for the vacant Pawtucket City Council District 5 seat have limited time remaining to convince voters that they’re the right person to represent the district.
Registrar Ken McGill said last week that a July ballot in this whirlwind special election will no longer be necessary after independent Frank Carter did not return any signatures to run. That July ballot will consist of only the winner of a June 8 Democratic primary between Clovis Gregor and Ana Soares and a line for write-in candidates, effectively making the winner of the vote that day the chosen representative for the seat, he said. ....
