BAPPD plays remarkable role in preventing child marriage: Speaker

DHAKA, Dec 10, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today said the Bangladesh Association of the Parliamentarians on Population and Development (BAPPD) has made a remarkable role in preventing child marriage, improving maternal health and reducing maternal mortality.
“The various sub-committees under the BAPPD have created communication networks up to the union level which is an effective step. We must continue our efforts to prevent child marriage and ensure social security,” she said while speaking virtually at the third meeting of the BAPPD held at the Parliament Secretariat office here. ....
